We can all agree education is of utmost importance for a growing child’s development, it helps them understand and prepare for life whilst allowing them to grow to their full potential; playing a major role in how they perceive the world around them.  Education is essential to success; without it you can’t get anywhere in this world therefore as carers of our children we’d want the best for them. For children are our future and legacy and for society to succeed we must take care of the younger generation.

The early education of a child traditionally starts at school but when we think of education our minds always conjure the core subjects such as Math and English. And although they’re undeniably important for intellectual growth, future careers and the developing mind of a child they, unfortunately, don’t give much space for a child’s wild imagination and abundant energy. Art, however, does.

Art for a child is more than a time for kids to get messy and play:

In the classroom, art simply gives children a way to communicate. It provides students with a means of self-expression and self-assurance through experimentation, boosting their confidence and the ability to question the world around them whilst creating a safe space free from criticism and loose boundaries that can accommodate their imagination and cultivate their creativity. It allows children to understand and explore the world in a way that creates a sense of appreciation of nature and for even the simplest of things that surround them in their everyday lives. Art ultimately brings joy to a child’s learning.

Art can help children develop their communication and vocabulary skills. It encourages them to talk about what they’re doing, colors, shapes, and more so that they get better at communicating and expanding their vocabulary. Reading instructions and figuring out how to do things can do wonders for their comprehension.

Considering life isn't always simple, it's important to do everything you can to provide kids with the life skills they'll need to succeed in the world. The most crucial social and life skills can be taught through the arts. By providing common ground with other children or adults, art promotes teamwork and collaboration. Whereas most art projects encourage youngsters to follow instructions, group projects educate them to take responsibility.

Additionally, art encourages children to take criticism and utilize it constructively as well as to be open to other points of view. Like this, art can empower kids and enhance behavior. Art classes can be an ideal place for children to make friends too.

Arts and crafts can also improve motor skills like hand-eye coordination. Art activities such as drawing, painting, and crafts encourage focus on detail and importance in following steps. This can range from simple activities like coloring inside the lines and tracing to complex pursuits such as intricate murals and pottery.
