A “STUNNING piece of art” that as appeared overnight has got people talking in Cradley Heath and speculating whether it could have been the work of elusive street artist Banksy or Birmingham graffiti artist Disney.
The artwork depicting a young girl with her head down holding a teddy has popped up on a wall outside Café Plus in Powke Lane.
People have reportedly been pulling over in their cars to take pictures of the eye-catching image which has left onlookers wondering whose handiwork was behind it.
A spokesperson for Café Plus said: “Upon arrival to work today and opening up the cafe we were welcomed by this image painted on the wall on the corner of our cafe car park.
“Since then every customer has commented, opening up conversation - is it a Banksy? Is it a Disney?
“Cars have been pulling over in their droves just to take a picture.”
Reader Martin Jones added: “Is it a Disney or is it not? Nobody knows either way, due to his elusive nature. Whoever did it - it’s a stunning piece of art.”
It’s the latest in a series of mysterious pieces of street art to have appeared on buildings in the Halesowen area over the last couple of years, which are thought to be by Birmingham graffiti artist Disney whose spray-painted depictions resemble the works of internationally renowned Banksy.
