FOUR Halesowen College healthcare apprentices are celebrating after securing full-time jobs in genetics.
Muhammad Ali Subahni Chughtai, Beth Bevan-Khan, Victoria Qiu and Dominic Keen have completed a Level Four Healthcare Science Associate apprenticeship at the Whittingham Road college.
They have all now secured jobs at the genetics laboratory run by Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
Muhammed, Beth and Victoria were all apprentices at the lab in Birmingham and Dominic was a laboratory assistant at Royal Worcester Hospital.
They have all been offered permanent Band 4 healthcare science assistant jobs.
Charles White, Trainer Assessor Healthcare Science Lead at Halesowen College, said: “These learners have all worked incredibly hard over the past couple of years.
“They thoroughly deserve success in completing their apprenticeships and also in securing permanent positions in the field of clinical genetics.
"They have been a joy to teach.”
The lab is commissioned by NHS England for the provision of all genomic testing for the West Midlands area.
