NEW food hygiene ratings have been awarded to a Halesowen dessert shop and two other establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
Takeaway Sweet Shakes dessert shop at Clarage House, Long Lane, Halesowen, was handed a four rating on May 9.
Craft and coffee shop Oh Flopping Fiddlesticks on Louise Street, Lower Gornal, was handed a four star rating on May 9.
Sommai Thai restaurant on Mount Pleasant, Kingswinford, was given a three rating on May 9.
A hygiene rating of 0 means urgent improvement is required; 1 means "major improvement is necessary."
A 2 star rating means "some improvement is necessary", while 3 star means "hygiene standards are generally satisfactory" and 4 star means "hygiene standards are good."
A 5 star rating means "hygiene standards are very good."
