CELEBRATIONS for Black Country Day in Halesowen were met with a thunderous applause, not just from the weather, but from the masses of visitors who came along to enjoy the party.

Crowds were treated to stalls from local traders, organisations and rides in Somers Square at the event on Saturday (July 15) hosted by Halesowen BID, Dudley Council and Black Country Radio.

Black Country Radio broadcasted live from the event which featured demonstrations and acts from across the region, including the Men in Red Male Voice Choir, Aikido demonstrations from Ren Shin Kan and acrobatics from Cirque L'amore.

The centre stage played host to well-known musical acts through the afternoon including the Reggae Boyz and Bhangra Smash Up.
