A MAN has been taken to hospital with "potentially serious injuries" after a crash in Halesowen this morning.
Police, medics and firefighters attended the rush-hour crash on Mucklow Hill near B&Q at around 9am today (Tuesday August 29).
The man, a driver of one of two cars involved, has been taken to the QE hospital.
A woman, the driver of the other car, was not hurt and was discharged at the scene by medics.
The crash closed the road which is believed to have now reopened.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a two-car RTC on Mucklow Hill at 9.08am, two ambulances and a paramedic officer attended the scene.
"On arrival we discovered two patients, a man and a woman, the drivers of the two cars.
"The man was treated for potentially serious injuries before being taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.
"The woman was assessed and discharged at the scene."
Firefighters from Oldbury and Haden Cross attended, the first arriving within five minutes of being mobilised.
Firefighters made both vehicles safe, leaving the scene shortly after 10.05am.
West Midlands Police were also at the scene with officers closing the road and helping with traffic management.
