NEW food hygiene ratings have been awarded to Dudley’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
The following ratings have been given to two restaurants, cafes or canteens:
• Rated 3: Kitchen at Loyal Lodge at 15 Furnace Hill, Halesowen; rated on August 8
• Rated 3: The Redforte at 70 Bridgnorth Road, Wollaston; rated on September 14
And two ratings have been handed to pubs, bars or nightclubs:
• Rated 5: Loyal Lodge at 15 Furnace Hill, Halesowen; rated on August 8
• Rated 4: Foxhunt Harvester Public House at Hagley Road, Hayley Green, Halesowen; rated on August 21
Plus five ratings for takeaways:
• Rated 3: Happy Town at 35 High Street, Quarry Bank; rated on August 21
• Rated 1: Fans Chinese Takeaway at 16 Redhall Road, Lower Gornal; rated on August 16
• Rated 1: Prince's Fast Food at 96 Wolverhampton Street, Dudley; rated on August 16
• Rated 1: Golden City at 45 Park Road, Woodsetton, Dudley; rated on August 15
• Rated 0: Rainbow Cantonese Takeaway at 8 Limepit Lane, Dudley; rated on August 16
The ratings have been published on the Food Standards Agency’s website which rates businesses from zero to five so customers can make more informed choices about where to buy and eat food.
A rating of five means hygiene standards are very good, four means hygiene standards are good, three means hygiene standards are generally satisfactory, two means some improvement is necessary, a rating of one means major improvement is necessary and a rating of zero means urgent improvement is required.
People can see the results of all food hygiene inspections via Dudley Council’s website or on the national ratings.food.gov.uk website.
