THE annual Remembrance Sunday service and parade through Halesowen will be held this Sunday.
The parade will gather outside Iceland on Somers Square from 10am and will head off at 10.30am on Sunday (November 12).
The laying of wreaths will take place at the Cenotaph at 10.40am till 10.50am to remember all those fallen heroes and there will then be a service at St John's Church at 11am.
The parade will reform on the service road off Queensway at 11.45am and will return to Halesowen Townsend Social Club via the High Street and Stourbridge Road.
The parade, organised by the Royal British Legion, will be dismissed at 12.15pm and there will be refreshments for all at the club.
On Friday November 10 there will be an event at The Shell on Long Lane, Halesowen, from 7pm.
The Deputy Lieutenant of the West Midlands and Mayor of Dudley will attend.
Organiser Halesowen North councillor Stuart Henley said: "As we approach Friday evening's Remembrance event, let's remember the significance of coming together as a community.
"It's a time to pay our respects and honour the memory of our heroes, as well as strengthen the bonds that unite us."
A full list of road closures can be found on the council’s website.
