A BID to convert a house in an Oldbury cul-de-sac into a six-bedroom HMO has been submitted to Sandwell Council.
The proposal to turn the existing home in Pool Lane into a six-bedroom house of multiple occupancy will be considered by council planners.
Notes state that the application, from Ms Madiha Ali of Abbey Residential Care Ltd, is to "use the house as a house in multiple occupation with up to six unrelated individuals, as their only or main residence, who will share basic amenities such as a kitchen and a bathroom."
The bid is for a lawful development certificate and states that "planning permission is not required" for the change of use.
A building is an HMO if at least three tenants live there, the tenants are not from one household and the tenants share toilet, bathroom or kitchen facilities.
