A FREE drop-in event is being held tomorrow in Halesowen (Thursday) to help unpaid carers in the borough.
It is being held at the Brett Young Carers Hub in Hawne Lane from 10.30am to 2.30pm to tie in with Carers Rights Day 2023.
Councillor Matt Rogers, cabinet member for adult social care, said: “We want to ensure carers know their rights and are able to access the right support for them and the person they care for.
“Carers will be able to get information and support at the event on a wide range of subjects.
“This includes the newly introduced right to Carers Leave, as well as advice on financial support and the support that is out there and available.
“Unpaid carers will also be able to get covid and flu vaccinations on the day, so I would strongly advise them to book their place and come along.”
Refreshments will also be available.
