STOURBRIDGE music lovers are set for a treat next month when Gig Caritas present an evening of choral classics.
Three ever popular classics will be featured including Hadel's The King Shall Rejoice, Vivaldi's Gloria and Faure Requiem.
Each piece will be performed by the 60-strong Gig Caritas Chorus together with Stourbridge Chamber Orchestra.
Also appearing will be professional soloists Catherine Lander, Judith Moreland and Phillip Bellshaw - all of who will be under the baton of renowned local conductor Keith Horsfall who said: "The King Shall Rejoice is a companion piece to Zadok The Priest which was heard at last year's Coronation which could be described as a mini Messiah.
"Vivaldi's Gloria is well-known and full of joy with its soaring trumpets, while Faure Requiem is a complete contrast and is a really contemplative work that contains one of the best soprano solos ever - the Pie Jesu!"
Over the years, Gig Caritas has raised thousands of pounds for local good causes since its formation and this concert is no exception with proceeds set to go to the Black Country Women's Aid charity.
The event will take place at St Thomas Church in Market Street, Stourbridge, on Saturday March 23, starting at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £12 each and are available in advance online from https://gigcaritas.net/events or from Harris Butchers in Wollaston.
