HALESOWEN College’s principal had chance to discuss key issues facing the FE education sector during a visit to No 10 Downing Street
Jacquie Carman attended an event at No 10 to discuss skills education with Lord Lingfield and fellow FE college leaders on Wednesday February 28.
The event was hosted by Lord Lingfield and the Chartered Institute for Further Education to discuss and celebrate skills education.
The Chartered Institute of Further Education, under the leadership of Lord Lingfield, has spearheaded advancements in the education sector, championing the cause of skills education across the nation.
Robert Halfron MP, Minister for Skills, Apprenticeships and Higher Education, spoke of the commitment to providing the skills needed by employers and the further roll out of T levels.
Jacquie said the visit was “an excellent opportunity to influence and celebrate the role of colleges in positively shaping lives through high quality education” and she added: “As we acknowledge Colleges Week, these themes are key.”
