A 43-YEAR-OLD man has been remanded in custody after being charged with robbery and being in possession of a knife in a public place in Oldbury.
Tesrad Speid, of Edmonton Avenue, Birmingham, has been charged with two counts of robbery, two counts of possession of a knife in a public place and assaulting an emergency worker.
The robbery and knife offences occurred on March 25 and 27 and police said in one incident a security guard at Sainsbury’s at Oldbury was threatened with a knife.
The charge of assault of an emergency worker related to an incident on March 28.
Speid appeared before Wolverhampton Magistrates on March 30 and he was remanded in custody to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on April 29.
