Cycling enthusiasts have been called to become volunteers at a blind charity as tandem pilots.
West Midlands-based The Beacon Centre for the Blind, which has charity shops in Halesowen and Sedgley, is seeking avid cyclists to guide and support its members during tandem cycling sessions.
The role centres around guaranteeing a safe and enjoyable experience for visually-impaired tandem session participants.
The sessions occur bi-weekly on Mondays at Halfpenny Green Airport Car Park in Stourbridge from April to October, weather permitting.
The centre's lifestyle coordinator Mary Spiers said: "We believe in the freedom and joy that cycling brings, and we're thrilled to welcome volunteers who share our passion for inclusivity."
No prior experience with tandem cycling is required, but confidence and experience are desired for applicants.
