HALESOWEN College students are gearing up for a festival of music and entertainment as its annual Mayfly festival returns this year.
Bands formed by music students will play live at Halesowen Town Football Club tomorrow (Thursday May 9) for Mayfly 2024.
There will be live music from tribute bands, including Kid-A (RadioHead), Blossoms (Queens Of The Stone Age), Wonder (Stevie Wonder), The Rubs (The Strokes) and Zoso (Led Zepplin) Food, drink and stalls will also be available from 6pm to 10pm, bringing a fantastic festival atmosphere to the night.
Stephen Hollis, Music course leader at Halesowen College, said: “Since Mayfly was launched a few years ago it has grown bigger and bigger each year.
“Our students not only perform but also help organise the event. It is a fantastic night for them to show off their skills and prepare them for a career in the music industry.”
Tickets cost £5 and are on sale now from the College’s website www.halesowen.ac.uk. Or gate tickets will be £8.
