A Halesowen rock 'n roll author is set to make an appearance in Halesowen as part of a free event.
Suzan Holder, author and TV presenter, will be at Halesowen Library on June 19 from 6.30pm.
The wife of rock star Noddy Holder, was born in Halesowen and started her writing career at the Halesowen News before making waves in television with a successful stint as the executive producer of ITV's show Loose Women.
Ms Holder has written two romantic comedy books themed around her love for music.
Attendees of the event can look forward to amusing tales from her life that inspired the writing of her heartwarming books, such as a comedic encounter with a Beatle and getting rescued by a police officer in Mississippi.
Ms Holder said: "At one point poor Bev discovers her antics are being discussed on a daytime TV talk show, as I used to be the Executive Producer of ITV’s Loose Women I expect you can figure out where I got that idea!"
Her second book, 'Rock n' Rose', takes inspiration from a trip to Memphis, Tennessee.
Ms Holder said: "Some of the craziest things that happen to the main character in that book really did happen to me, and I’ll be going into more detail at Wordsley Library."
Tickets for the event are free and refreshments while copies of her books will be on sale for signing.
To reserve tickets, contact Halesowen Library on 01384 812980.
