A TEENAGE thief has been locked up after he admitting stealing vehicles in Sandwell.
Car keys along with a vehicle parked on the driveway were stolen from an address on Heronville Road, West Bromwich, on June 6.
Later that same day, while officers were patrolling in an unmarked car in the area, they spotted the stolen vehicle.
Officers boxed the stolen vehicle in but were then rammed by the driver.
They caught up with the driver and he was arrested a few days later on suspicion of burglary and dangerous driving.
The driver, a 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was then charged with both offences.
The teenager was also charged with stealing a Range Rover from an address on Pound Road, Oldbury earlier this month.
He has been sentenced to an 18 month detention and training order.

“We are doing all we can to identify and track down those who think they can steal people’s well-earned valuables".
