A FAMILY-friendly event celebrating the diverse array of cultures in the Black Country will take place in Halesowen this weekend.
The Black Country Multicultural Day will take place in Somers Square on Saturday (July 20) and will feature music and dance performances, face painting, arts and crafts, Batman and stilt walkers.
There will be music from artists including The Gentlemen Songsters, Halesowen & Dudley Yemeni Group, Poppies Polish Duo, Hindu Community Forum, The Singing Barmaid Kerrie Stevens, Cre Art Community Group and Black Country All Ska's.
Visitors can also learn how to dance Bhangra Style with the award-winning Jodi Dancers from 12.30pm in The Cornbow Shopping Centre and the Hindu Community Group will showcase a variety of performances of Gujarati Dance.
Black Country Multicultural Day, held in partnership with Halesowen BID and under the umbrella of the Black Country Festival and the National Lottery Community Fund, The Arts Council England, showcases the vibrant cultural diversity of the Black Country.
Organiser Frankie Prazer said: "There is so much going on for the family including the Saturday Market. We know it will be a fun packed day for everyone."
The free family event runs from 11am until 6pm.
