THE moments after a man was attacked and hit by a car in Cradley Heath have been caught on camera.

Witnesses filmed the aftermath of the incident, with scenes showing a man lying on the floor covered in blood with two men standing over him.

At one point one of the men drags the victim.

It happened on Foxoak Street, near Tesco Extra at around 11am yesterday (Monday July 22).

Two men, aged 17 and 45, from Dudley, were arrested on suspicion of section18 wounding and are in custody for questioning today (Tuesday July 23) police said.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "Two men have been arrested after another man was assaulted in Cradley Heath yesterday (July 22).

"We were called at around 11am to Foxoak Street, after a man in his 30s and was hit by a car and assaulted.

"The victim was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening.

"Two men, aged 17 and 45, from Dudley have been arrested on suspicion of s18 wounding.

"They both remain in custody for questioning.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said of the incident: “An ambulance and MERIT trauma team attended and found a pedestrian, a man, with a serious injury following a collision with a car.

“The man received trauma care on scene before being conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further care.”
