HIGHWAYS chiefs in Dudley have issued a temporary closure order for Mears Coppice in Quarry Bank while bridge works take place.
The closure has been ordered to enable workers to safely carry out deck replacement works on the bridge that runs over the River Stour.
The order will come into force on Monday August 5 and the works are anticipated to be completed on Friday September 27.
Access to properties on Mears Coppice will be via Lawnsdown Road and access to frontages and for emergency services will be maintained where safe.
A notice posted on the Public Notice Portal states: “The purpose of the restrictions is to safely facilitate bridge deck replacement works on or near the affected road.”
Any queries about the temporary restriction can be made by calling 01384 815453.
