A CHILD was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash involving a car and a pedestrian in Halesowen.
The incident happened just before 7.30pm last night (Monday August 5) in Clement Road.
The youngster’s injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said of the incident: “We were called at 7.22pm to a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Clement Road, in Halesowen.
“One ambulance and the WMAS Critical Care Car attended the scene.
“Upon arrival we found a child who was the pedestrian. He was assessed and had sustained serious injuries which were not life-threatening.
“He received treatment at the scene before being conveyed to Russell’s Hall Hospital for further treatment.”
West Midlands Police have been contacted for further comment.
