Police have currently got more than 100 crime suspects in cells across the West Midlands force area. 

West Midlands Police said they have suspects in cells for offences ranging from robbery and burglary to assault and possession of offensive weapons.  

In Bloxwich, police have people in their custody block held on suspicion of burglary, assault and possessing Class A drugs.

In Coventry, there are people in custody on suspicion of robbery, theft from a motor vehicle, theft from a shop and assault.

In Oldbury, police have people in their custody block who have been arrested on suspicion of robbery, burglary, theft, affray and possession of a knife.

At the Perry Barr custody suite, police have people in the cells on suspicion of robbery, possession of a knife, burglary and assault.

In Stechford, suspects are in custody on suspicion of theft, harassment, criminal damage and making threats to kill.

In Wolverhampton, people are being questioned over offences including the theft of a motor vehicle, theft from a shop, assault and making threats to kill.
