The mother of a 13-year-old boy who was fatally stabbed at his home in Oldbury has paid tribute to her "loving" and "kind-hearted" son. 

Jahziah Coke, aged 13, was stabbed to death on Thursday (August 29). 

He was treated by paramedics, but despite their best efforts, he died at the scene. 

Jahziah’s family are being supported by officers at this tragic time.

Paying tribute to her son, Jahziah’s mother said: "Jahziah was a very polite, kind and family-orientated young man.

"He was very loving and always smiling. His smile would light up the room. He was very kind-hearted."

Last night (Monday, September 2), two teenagers who were arrested on Sunday were charged with Jahziah’s murder. They cannot be named for legal reasons.

A man in his 40s who was also held yesterday was charged with assisting an offender.

All three are being held in police custody before appearing at Birmingham magistrates today (Tuesday, September 3).

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "At this stage, we are not looking for anyone else as part of our investigation.

"We have been carrying out CCTV enquiries in the area, but also need to hear from anyone with dash cam, doorbell, CCTV or phone footage that might help the investigation.
