THE swimming pools at Stourbridge’s Crystal Leisure Centre will be closed on Tuesday September 10 due to a technical fault.

The leisure centre in Bell Street has been left with no running hot water which has left the pools cooler than usual today – with the temperatures expected to continue to drop.

As a result, the pools will both be closed tomorrow (Tuesday September 10) until further notice.

In a statement sent out to residents across the borough, Dudley Council explained: “Unfortunately due to a technical fault, there is currently no running hot water in Crystal Leisure Centre.

“The leisure pool and 25m pool are both open as normal today, Monday September 9, but please be aware that the temperatures in the pools are cooler than usual and will continue to drop. We therefore advise that the pools are unsuitable for babies and toddlers.

“Due to this issue, the leisure pool and 25m pool will be closed from tomorrow (Tuesday 10 September 2024) until further notice.

“We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience in this matter.

“All other facilities at the centre continue to be available to the public.”
