Birmingham Scouts are hosting a taster session for potential Explorer Scouts.
The session, aimed at people aged between 14 and 17, will allow participants to learn about the various activities and skills they can develop as Explorer Scouts.
Scouting provides more than 250 activities for children and young people, including abseiling, cooking, geocaching, map reading, and various water activities.

The organisation also helps develop life skills such as independence, leadership, problem-solving, self-confidence, social skills, and teamwork.
A recent survey revealed that 90 per cent of parents believe their children would benefit from learning these skills for life.
The Scouts are also looking for volunteers to support the Explorer Unit.
This could involve working directly with the teenagers, serving as a trustee, or assisting with IT, administration, or fundraising tasks.
Volunteer Janice said: "Come along and find out more about what Explorer Scouts get up to.
"This is a great opportunity for young people to learn and develop skills along with having fun and doing activities they have not done before.
"For adults, it’s a great opportunity to share their knowledge, hobbies, and skills and to help young people develop."
The taster session will take place on Monday, October 7, from 8.15pm to 9.45pm at Quinton Scout Headquarters, 400 Ridgeacre Road, Quinton, Birmingham, B32 1AS.
To register interest, individuals are asked to email tenaciousexplorerunit.com with their name and contact details.
