A popular Black Country male voice choir has announced a partnership with a Stourbridge solicitors' firm.

The Gentlemen Songsters, who are based in Kingswinford, have teamed up with Wall James Chappell for a three-year agreement.

The partnership will allow the choir, which has been performing for more than 67 years, to develop its work in the community.

Ken Crane, chairman of the Songsters, said: "The choir are reversing the nationwide trend in the decline in male voice choirs, the Black Country-based Gentlemen Songsters are going from strength to strength.

"We continue to attract new singing members and perform to an increasingly high level.

"This new partnership with a highly respected local legal firm will help us with our aspirations to support charitable causes as we continue to promote singing in the Black Country and grow as a performing choir.

"We are most grateful to Wall James Chappell for their commitment to this agreement."
