TWO people have been arrested and drugs seized after a car rammed into a police vehicle in Oldbury.
The incident happened in Landswood Road just before 4pm yesterday (Sunday October 20) after police officers pursued a suspicious Golf.
Luckily, the pursuing police officers were not injured in the incident which saw a 41-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman arrested.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said of the incident: “We've recovered drugs and arrested crime suspects after stopping a vehicle which rammed into a police car in Sandwell.
“It happened in Landswood Road, Oldbury, at just before 4pm yesterday (Sunday October 20) after officers pursued a suspicious Golf.
“We detained a man, aged 41, and woman, aged 42, as a stash of cocaine and heroin were seized from the Golf.
“They were arrested in connection with possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply and also two burglaries and two robberies.
“The man was further detained on suspicion of driving offences and criminal damage.
“They both remain in custody for questioning.
“Thankfully, the officers were not injured.”
