TWO people have been charged with a number of shoplifting offences across Dudley.
Thomas Wagner, aged 36, from Dudley, has been charged with six shop thefts in Dudley, Kingswinford, Amblecote and Wordsley.
The incidents happened in June, September and October.
Chelsea Davies, aged 31, also from Dudley, has been charged with three shop thefts in Kingswinford, Wordsley and Brierley Hill in September and October.
Both have been remanded in custody to appear at Walsall Magistrates Court today (Wednesday October 30).
Sergeant Jess Impey, for Lye and Amblecote Neighbourhood Team, said: “Shoplifting is a blight on our retail outlets, particularly those stores regularly targeted by repeat offenders.
“We fully understand the impact and frustration on businesses and routinely carry out regular high visibility patrols in retail areas, along with other activity, to trace and catch offenders.”
Anyone who witnesses anything suspicious is urged to report it to police by calling 101.
