WITH the scariest and most bewitching season upon us, there’s been no shortage of seasonal events and attractions offering to entertain little ones and adults alike this Halloween.
Many have long been booked up or sold out, but here are some that are still taking bookings for Halloween night or the following days.
Stourbridge Scare Maze - Crown Lane, Stourbridge
The Stourbridge Scare Maze, winner of the scariest maze award at the Halloween Awards 2024, has been terrifying horror fans since the Covid pandemic hit in 2020. The intense live action attraction challenges brave souls to face their fears in several immersive horror themed zones, split over three floors.

Halloween at Kinver Edge and the Rock Houses – entrance off Compton Road car park, Kinver, DY7 6DL
Visitors to the National Trust site can enjoy a range of children’s Halloween activities and see the Rock Houses illuminated for the first time. The attraction has been lit up for the season with festoon lighting and coloured lighting. Visitors can follow a spooky trail with puzzles to solve and claim a frightfully good prize, have a go at spell casting, wand making or crafting a witch’s hat. There’s also pumpkin carving and storytelling sessions at 6pm, 6.30pm, 7pm, 7.30pm and 8pm.
The café will also be open and serving an array of food and drinks including hot chocolates and homemade treats.

Double Bill of Horror – Katie Fitzgerald’s in Wollaston, Stourbridge Two one-act plays designed to terrify and disturb will be staged at Katie Fitzgerald’s on Halloween night (October 31). Tickets for Halloween have already sold out, but the plays - When Hell Breaks Loose and The Vampyre of Huntley Cross - will be performed again on Saturday November 9 at Wombourne Library and Community Centre.

Halloween Trail - Himley Hall and Park, Himley Road, Dudley, DY3 4DF
Free Halloween trail in the grounds of Himley Hall. The ghouls and ghosts of Himley Hall have escaped and need to be found, with a certificate available for those who find them all.
Open October 30 and 31, 8am to 4pm.
Halloween fun at Dudley Wood Park - Saltwells, Dudley, DY2 ODW (also known as Spring Meadow Play Park)
Early on All Hallows' Eve - the park will be hosting free Halloween fun and games including a monster hunt, with prizes to be won and no need to book in advance.
Running October 31, from 5.30pm to 8pm.
Halloween House - 53 Brook Street, Wall Heath
Thomas and Amy Taylor have turned their garden into a spooky spectacle featuring animatronics, lighting and fog machines, creepy Halloween creatures and pumpkins to raise funds for The Mary Stevens Hospice.
Open October 30 and 31, from 5pm to 8.30pm (and 2pm to 4pm October 31).
Halloween decorations in the Old Quarter – Western Road, Cleveland Street, Brook Street, Baylie Street, Stourbridge
The Old Quarter of Stourbridge is a favourite for trick or treaters. A number of houses go all out with spooky decorations, which only get better each year.
Enjoy a wander around the streets and perhaps a visit to The Longlands Tavern which has Halloween games and activities planned and refreshments for worn out trick or treaters.
