A WOMAN is in a “critical condition” after a car crash in Marston Green last night.
West Midlands Police were called to Bickenhill Parkway at around 6pm on Monday, November 4 to reports that a car had collided with a pedestrian.
West Midlands Ambulance Service arrived at the scene shortly after, with two ambulances, two paramedic officers and a critical care team from Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.
A spokesperson from the ambulance service said: “On arrival ambulance staff found a woman in a life-threatening condition.
“They immediately began administering specialist trauma care, before conveying her under emergency blue light conditions to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.”
West Midlands Police have since arrested a man on suspicion of dangerous driving.
In a statement, they said: “We were called to a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Bickenhill Parkway, Marston Green, just after 6pm yesterday.
“A woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
“A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, and he remains in custody.”
West Midlands Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or have dashcam footage of the incident to contact them via the live chat on their website or by calling 101, quoting incident log 4393 of November 4.
