POLICE in Halesowen were out at the weekend to put the brakes on speeding motorists.
Officers from the Halesowen neighbourhood team conducted a Community Speed Watch yesterday morning (Sunday November 10) on Belle Vale.
They said the move was in response to "multiple" concerns from local residents about speeding vehicles.
They said on social media: "Halesowen NHT have conducted a Community Speed Watch this morning on Belle Vale Road, Halesowen following multiple concerns from the local community. #slowdown"
In community Speed Watch patrols speeding motorists who are doing 35mph and above in a 30mph limit and 46mph and above in a 40mph limit, will be sent warning letters by the police.
In cases where warning letters are blatantly ignored and evidence of repeat or excessive offences is collated, enforcement and prosecution follow.
