Heavy rain and flooding caused travel chaos across the Black Country this weekend as Storm Bert hit the region.
Photos have captured the extent of the flood water which made some roads impassable and led to cars being stranded.
Flood alerts and weather warnings were in place as emergency services urged people to take care on the roads and not to drive through flood water.
Areas of Stourbridge, Dudley and Halesowen were affected including the A451 Kidderminster Road at Iverley, the A456 Hagley Causeway, Fenton Street in Brierley Hill, the junction of Wollaston Road and Amblecote High Street, the Stewponey near Kinver, roads around Merry Hill, Bromley Lane in Kingswinford and more.
Kinver Street was also affected by severe flooding after Wordsley Brook burst its banks.
There were a number of stranded cars reported including at the Stewponey with West Midlands Fire Service being called out to rescue a passenger in Walsall.
Disruption was felt across the weekend with the Christmas light switch-on events in Dudley and Brierley Hill being cancelled to ensure everyone was safe.
In a post on social media, Ian Jones, Area Director for the Environment Agency working across the West Midlands, said: "Lower winds mean that rain front is now noticeably stubborn.
"Our teams continue to work throughout the weekend, alongside our partners, to act and warn and inform to help reduce flood risk."
