Chairman June Griffiths presided over the meeting held on February 4.
Minutes from the previous meeting were read, approved and signed.
The Chairman then informed all members that an outing to Stratford on Avon had been arranged for June 10.
This was to include a river cruise on ‘The Countess of Evesham’ with lunch included.
She informed everyone that the outing had been funded by a legacy bequeathed to guild members following the death of Mrs Hilda Kerrison who had been a very loyal member and president of Old Hill and Cradley Heath TG for many years.
The raffle was then drawn, prizes were won by Vera Parsons and Audrey Everill.
Our speaker for the afternoon was Fiona Lucas who gave a very enjoyable talk about the Girl Guide Association and the many events that were taking place to celebrate their Centenary year.
Audrey Everill gave the vote of thanks on behalf of guild members.
Our last meeting, the AGM, was held on March 4. The sales table had an Easter theme.
The guild meets at Lawrence Lane Methodist Church, Old Hill on the first Thursday of every month(excluding August) commencing at 2pm.
We are currently recruiting for new members so why not come along as our guest where you will receive a very warm welcome.
