Vice chair Rita Clitheroe chaired the meeting and welcomed 51 members.
Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
There were several matters arising.
Rita next informed members of the committtee for next year.
A thank you card was received from Hugel Parsons for flowers and cards. There was also a thank you from Roller Coasters for the donation.
We received a letter from Dudley Council about flowers in bloom.
St George’s Day Parade. Coffee morning at the Council House.
The treasurer gave her report.
Social secretary announced a trip to Hagley Hall, canal trip in July, flower club open evening.
Rita read suggestions for next years charity. A vote to be taken at the next meeting.
Our speaker this evening was Jill William, she spoke on dyslexia, stepping in at the last minute because our booked speaker was ill.
She said she could only cover the subject briefly but gave an insight into how it affected people of all ages who were often very intelligent.
She showed pictures of celebrities who were affected.
She was a very interesting speaker and made it a very interesting evening.
The sales table made £23, book sales £15 and there was also a raffle.
Next meeting is on May 17 with music of the movies. Visitors are welcome.
