This year Hurst Green WI celebrated their 25th anniversary.
Joyce Smith, one of the original members, arranged a most enjoyable day out for us, visiting the village of Weobly and other black and white house villages in Herefordshire noted for their ‘Old world charm’.
We called in at burford House gardens for a morning coffee stop and then went to Eardsley where an excellent lunch was provided for us by the ladies of their WI.
The latter part of the afternoon was spent at Hergest Croft Gardens at Kington on the Welsh border, where we wandered round the Azalea Gardens and Rockeries.
We ended with a visit to the tea rooms before starting home.
The weather was perfect and we all agreed we had a splendid Anniversary day out.
Why not join us?
Our meetings are held on the third Monday of each month at 2pm at Hurst Green Methodist Church Hall, Narrow Lane.
