A 24-year-old Oldbury man who took part in the brutal gang rape of a teenage girl has been put behind bars for eight years.
Ibrar Mohammed was one of five men involved in the terrifying sex attack on their 17-year-old victim after she had been taken to a house in the area.
Mohammed of Walford Street together with Harjinder Singh 25 and Haider Kanwal 30, both of Vicarage Street, Smethwick had denied raping the girl.
But they were all found guilty by a jury after they retired for nearly eight hours to consider the evidence at the end of their trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court.
Judge Michael Challinor told the three men the young girl had been plied with drink and drugs before being raped by the five strong gang.
It was a "determined and planned" offence, he said, and the harm suffered by their teenage victim had been "immense."
The verdicts of the jury, maintained the Judge, had vindicated the young girl who had been a totally innocent party in what was a disgraceful crime.
The Judge also jailed Singh and Kanwal for eight years as he told all three men they must register as Sex Offenders for the rest of their life.
Kanwal had admitted producing cannabis and abstracting electricity and for those offences he was jailed for a year - the sentence to run concurrently with the eight year term.
The Judge said the rape attack was an extremely serious offence with a number of aggravating features and he ruled he had no reason to distinguish between any of the defendants.
In evidence to the court the three men all stressed to the jury that everything that took place at the house had been with the consent of the girl.
Mr Philip Bradley prosecuting said police did not prosecute a fourth man for his involvement in the offence while a fifth man had fled the country.
