THERE was frustration for Pedmore who dominated basement boys Romsley and Hunnington but couldn’t quite get the win.
Batting first, the opening pairing of skipper Stuart Bate and Danny McConnell put on 166 before the former was bowled for 57.
James Burgoyne (56) then joined on-fire McConnell, who eventually finished unbeaten on a whopping 205 not out as Pedmore compiled 347-2 off just 45 overs.
Nitin Malhotra then made up for the disappointment of not getting a bat by taking 7-82 as Romsley survived on 240-9. Zahid Kafiat finished agonisingly two short of a century. The result leaves Pedmore ninth.
