Villa Park has been named the sixth most popular football stadium in the UK.

In a recent global ranking study, Birmingham's Villa Park stadium was recognised with a score of 69.39.

The study, undertaken by iGaming experts Betmaster, used a range of key factors to determine the top UK football stadiums based on popularity, including TikTok video views, Instagram tags, TripAdvisor reviews and ratings, and global Google search volume.

Stadiums were then given a final score out of 100 based on the results.

Among the top ten stadiums were two from Manchester and five based in London.

The world's most popular UK stadium was named as Old Trafford, the home of Manchester United, which scored 81.41 points.

James Loxdale, sports analyst at Betmaster, said: "This study offers a unique insight into the appeal of UK football stadiums worldwide.

"By incorporating a diverse set of metrics, from social media presence to visitor reviews and global search interest, we can appreciate these stadiums' impact on fans and the digital community at large."

Other stadiums in the top ten include Wembley Stadium in second place with 77.22 points, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in third with 76.07 points, Anfield in fourth with 75.80 points, and Etihad Stadium in fifth with 72.24 points.

Villa Park, the home ground for Aston Villa, took the sixth spot.
