TWO Cradley Heath-based kickboxers are ready to fight things out for England.
Calum Pearson and Tyler Cox, who both train at Charlesworth Martial Arts School, have been selected to fight for the national squad in Bulgaria later this year.
Cox, aged nine, is a world and European champion at under-12s while 15-year-old Pearson is an English champion.
They are preparing for their first squad training session this Sunday.
Coach Jason Charlesworth said: “They have both done very well but the hard work starts this Sunday. We have high hopes for both of them.”
Charlesworth fighters were also in action at the recent Battle of the Celts event in Cornwall.
Kyeran Cox, Tyler’s 19-year-old brother, won the title after beating team-mate Weston Bogle in the semi-finals before beating an experienced Welsh fighter in the final.
