Solihull Food Festival hit Solihull Town Centre for the final weekend of September. From the 27th -29th of September, all foodies are enticed by the vast selection of food stalls and activities. From face painting to taster tents, there was something for everyone.
Like every year I’ve attended, the turnout was spectacular, and there were many food and drink options.
The extensive lineup consists of Richard Keogh, Old-time sailors, Global Reggae band, and Mystic Crew, to name a few. This event supports talent in the West Midlands in getting themselves out there to a wide range of people.
For the kids, there was plenty to keep them entertained.
Throughout the day, kids enjoyed a disco, airbrush tattoos, vintage bus tours, and much more, while you enjoyed some delicious cuisine of your choice to cleanse your palate.
The buzz of people was euphoric, seeing everyone enjoy different cultures’ meals, supporting small vendors and giving locals a nice reason to get out of the house.
I was excited to go back this year after a few years of missing out since COVID-19, as this was the place where I got to discover Greek cuisine, discovering a newfound love for gyros.
Unfortunately, this year, I couldn’t experience the vendor’s amazing food as the line was packed out (as it is every year).
However, one of my favourite features of the whole event was the discount voucher booklet, which gave a vast selection of eatery discounts in the area.
I can’t wait to empty my booklet with all the deals there is to offer and try new restaurants that I haven’t had the chance to enjoy yet.
It was nice to revisit and see the event is still booming, with families and friends enjoying a simple day out.
